For the Community, By the Project Founder @ River sos

This website & cameras aren't just for data; they are for everyone. As "Root Users" of this planet, we have the privilege to maintain these systems. By moving to a patronage model, we ensure this view remains open to anyone who wants to help our cause and protect the last bits of paradise.

Privately Funded. Publicly Shared. We have deliberately moved away from the traditional NGO model to remain independent. Being privately funded allows us to protect our "Genetic Arks" without the interference of bureaucracy. • Action Over Administration:

We move at the speed of the river, not a committee. • Direct Impact: No middleman. Every resource goes directly into the field. • Total Independence: Unfiltered, unbiased, and independent data. •

Public Benefit: We provide the gear and the tech; you get the view. We fund this privately to ensure these feeds remain a free resource for the community. No NGOs. No Red Tape.

Bureaucracy is where environmental action goes to die. We’ve traded the red tape of non-profits for the direct action of a patronage model, keeping our focus on the water.

We don't ask for cash; we ask for collaboration to help our cause.

My goal is to create Eco awareness for all our South African Rivers & ground water natural aqua systems. From Year 2000 To Year 2025 Our rivers in Durban KZN are in total crisis. Raw sewage contaminates Nearly every fresh water system. And solid waste mostly plastics by the ton ends up in the ocean and beaches.

Our Organization Approach & Mission Statement
River SOS (Durban, South Africa) Started as a Facebook group for me to connect to the community in a effort to raise awareness of pollution in the rivers of Durban and KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
MY Mission was To raise awareness and mobilize community action to protect and save the rivers of South Africa from pollution.

The group serves as a platform for everyone to share updates, photos, and information on the poor condition of our rivers.

Key activities: Documenting pollution levels in rivers.

Engaging with local government officials and other stakeholders. Coordinating clean-up campaigns in collaboration with other environmental groups.

Rivers SOS protecting the integrity of river systems and water sources from the effects of Pollution and other industries.

Advocating for the protection of rivers from industrial impacts. Supporting community groups in their efforts to protect local water sources. Raising awareness about the environmental threats.

To create awareness among communities and stakeholders about the need to care for water resources and to encourage participation in protecting and managing rivers in a sustainable way.
